Events

These events range from Charity Events with a motorcycle bias through to events organised by MCC member clubs. Some occur annually, some are one-off events.

Each is an opportunity to show support for motorcycling in NSW whilst helping a good cause or just having a great time.

14 May - 2016 Silverwater Motor Festival, Silverwater Park, Clyde St Silverwater (near Dooley’s Club by the river)

There will be news on the anti-rights laws in Qld and NSW plus TV show Temporary Australians will be filming onsite. Also, there will be the usual range of bikes, cars, displays, live music and kids jumping castle plus some interesting highlights, such as Paul Melohn's rare Honda s600 Coupe built in 1965, Honda's first mass produced car.

Set-up is from 9am and the main awards are presented at 3pm.

22 May - Ride For Steve

Amanda Gates, the widow of Steve Gates, is organising a ride to celebrate her late husband’s life and touring some of his favourite roads. Steve was the victim of a SMIDSY crash on his way to work. Amanda has been in contact with the MCC of NSW about "Ride for Steve" to raise awareness of motorcycles on the road.

"Ride for Steve" will be on 22nd May this year and will be leaving from Robertson Pie Shop at 9:00 AM, so turn up fuelled up and ready to ride to Gerringong.

3–12 September - The 15th annual Postie Bike Challenge is on.

Ride 3500+km, on an unmodified Honda CT110 from Perth through central WA and finish in Broome. A serious adventure — remote country, small towns, bitumen, dirt, corrugations, and bulldust make this a great adventure. Not a race, nor a tour, it is a challenge and a whole lot of fun!
