Road Surface Grip

Road grip is a topic with riders, often in derogatory terms after they have fallen foul of an inconsistency.

The inconsistency may be as a result of road wear and non-repair, or from a practice of repair or installation,. or from something dropped on the road.

  1. Polished road surface from tyre wear
  2. Line marking paint or plastic
  3. Gravel topped road lengths ("Spray Seal")
  4. Gravel topped pothole repair
  5. Steel bridge joints
Line Marking Report - AITPM provides an overview of linemarking from the Australian Institute of Traffic Planning and Management
